"My husband and I took this opportunity to sneak in a date while our children enjoyed their Middle school’s Valentine’s Day dance. We would’ve gone to BJ’s brew house, but hubby found this gem located 3 minutes from the children’s school and we liked the menu, so we booked a reservation. We walked in and were instantly happy with our decision. The service was good, the server was patient and the food was exceptional! I had the crab dip and OMGoodness was it amazing! The fried founder was off the charts too, my husband said his steak was one of the best he’d ever had and he crab was full of lump crab meat! We’ll definitely be back."

The restaurant itself was nice and the atmosphere was laid back. The food wasn’t that great to me and the waitress left our table for long periods of time. Overall I’d go back again but it wouldn’t be a top choice on my list of places to frequent.

The server was timely, personable and knew the menu. The manager was cordial and helpful. The food was over priced, with small portions. Out of 6 meals ordered 2 were received well, specifically the mussels and my sons linguine and clams. Everything else was way too salty, and lukewarm. All in all a dismal failure that I will not ever repeat again.

We went to EJ's twice in 3 days, so this review will be for both. Deidra was our excellent waitress! Between 3 of us we had the very good and spicy crab cake as well as fish and chips. Also, excellent homemade potato chips. The first night we ordered a dozen oysters which were delicious. We were so glad to be able to walk from the DoubleTree straight into EJ's. A big bonus. And lest I forget, there was a nice selection of local brews on draft. My kind of place.

"I just visited Fire Spice on Fort Meade Rd in Laurel. I experienced what felt like racial discrimination. I was dining with a friend. We both ordered Curry Chicken. When I tasted it, it tasted like chicken Masala, which I don 't care for; it 's too spicy. I 've been a regular customer for over 10 years.I asked the cashier, she stated that they 've renovated, but insisted that management had not changed.I told her that the food was too spicy, she offered to prepare something else for me; I politely declined and asked her to remove my $16.00 dish from.the bill. I told her that she could remove my food from our table, as I have integrity, and wanted to insure her that I was NOT going to eat my meal, she left my food on the table and walked away.At the end of my friend 's meal, we asked for the check, I stood at the register, she asked for $46.99.I responded, that can 't be right, we only consumed one (1) plate of food.I looked at our bill, she was insisting that I pay for food that I DID NOT consume. She sarcastically asked, you ordered it didn 't you? I stared at her for a minute because her tone was condescending.I replied, I told you that I couldn 't eat it I 'm not paying for a meal that I didn 't eat.I was trying to understand how a successful restaurant, can now, in this particular moment, become so desperate over $16.00.She further felt the need to embarrass and humiliate me by calling a Manager on the phone and coming to MY table, phone in hand and handle it inthis manner, in FRONT of customers. Completely unpleasant, unprofessional and crass. I felt both humiliated and embarrassed over$16.00!!!! Not $100+ but $16.00.Bottom line, she treated me as if I could NOT afford $16.00She embarrassed and humiliated me in front of all of her customers.Absolutely uncalled for.Well, they 've lost a dedicated customer; all because she wanted to abuse her power and become condescending."
