"Cocula Mexican Restaurant has very recently changed ownership. It is now Mariscos Nayarit. My family made plans to meet at Cocula last Saturday night. We were shocked to see that the name has changed. The menu is entirely different and the prices are higher. The menu was not the conventional Mexican we are accustomed to. LOTS of weird seafood dishes. The service was terrible. We were seated without menus. Someone in our party went to the hostess station (which was unattended) and got some menus. The server brought chips and thin watery salsa before taking our drink orders. We didn't even have napkins or eating utensils yet. Some of our orders were not correct. Even though there is a bar, I don't think it is in operation no draught beef or mixed drinks. We asked for glasses for our beer but never received them. Despite all the cons, everyone thought their food tasted good.Cocula was our favorite Mexican restaurant and we are disappointed to see it closed. If it couldn't stay in business, I don't see how Mariscos has much chance of succeeding."

"Do I have covid? That was the question I started to ask myself after tasting this food because I have heard that sometimes people lose their sense of smell and taste when they have covid. That 's how bad this food was.I ordered it via Uber, and sitting in my hotel room, I was longing for just a packet of salt. Ironically, the packet of soy sauce that came with the sushi was low sodium.Speaking of the sushi, there were 4 option levels of spiciness on the spicy tuna roll. I chose the hottest. What they delivered would have been a good substitute for baby food. The wasabi, which could have fit in a thimble, had no flavor and no spice. I put it all on one pitiful piece of sushi and didn 't know that it was even there.After this wholly unsatisfying meal, I went to brush my teeth before bed. The mint in the toothpaste was far more flavorful than the food, so I knew that I didn 't have covid. All I had was a terrible meal and wasted money.My advice (particularly if you are sitting in a hotel room browsing the UberEats app: just close this window and return to the list of restaurants. Anything and I mean anything would be better."

"Purchased what I had purchased in the past. Dry scallops, not wet scallops which was what I got. You can't pan sear a wet scallop. Ruined a fine risotto with roasted red pepper and orange lemon zest.Can't call to complain because lack of staff leaves them with no one to answer the phone. Was advised to come visit the location with concerns. BLEEP!!! I'm supposed to drive 40 miles each way and burn $15 of gas to tell them that they sold me inferior product.The positive outcome was that the raccoons seemed to enjoy the meal immensely.Needless to say I won't be going back."

"Although the food was great 10/10, the customer service was terrible, they were SO rude to other customers and not understanding for those who make a language barrier, not only were they rude to customers, one of the workers were rude to the other, this place would be so much better with good customer service. As someone working in fast food, customer service should be top priority."
