"A group of 4 friends and I went to brunch at Lucienne prior to musical theater. I had read some very good reviews on Open Table. We were very disappointed. It was basically empty, except for a group of about 18 guests arriving and a table for 1. We were seated at a table for 8 rather than 2 smaller tables put together. In order to chat, we had to arrange ourselves on one end of the long table. No one came to give us a cocktail menu. We had to ask for someone to come over to take our order. I had Eggs Benedict with crab cakes. the crab cakes were heavily fried with a tough outer crust. My friend did not like her lobster panini. My other friend did not care for her raclette. The food was good but I had their chocolate cake an that in my opinion wasn’t very good but the service was great

We were blown away. We had almost three hours to kill between an afternoon play at the Alley and an evening symphony at Jones Hall so we looked for a new to us restaurant to try. The menu looked nice so we made a booking. We went for the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. I took advantage of their offer to get two items from one section and one item from each of three other sections rather than one from each of the 5 sections. Our taste buds exploded from the first byte. We can’t wait to come back so much so that my wife wants me to cancel her birthday reservation elsewhere and come back. We will return in three weeks!
