"I love a fancy vegetable meal, and the scafata was that. It looked small but was very filling. I was told the olive appetizer was vegan. It was very tasty and warm. The vegan dessert was a banana bread with coconut ice cream, also tasty. So was the house made limoncello. Yum. Those were the vegan options and we ate them all. We previously tried to order online a couple times and the system wouldn’t take orders. We then tried to call a number of times for an order and to get info about seasonal hours, and then we messaged on Facebook. We heard back a couple weeks later, and the response seemed pretty rude, as was the answering machine message. The sentiment seems to be that the customer is very fortunate to have the privilege to eat here. True, but also not a great service attitude. We felt this vibe while dining in, which we decided to do despite the attitude just to see for ourselves what it was all about. The ambiance is “upscale rustic” people seem to love it. Maybe weird to mention here, but almost all the fish dishes have land animals in them, so my pescatarian spouse had one choice on a menu full of seafood."

"We visited several times during our recent vacation in Truro. We loved the pizza (BBQ chicken delish), coffee and ice cream. Great ice cream flavors, plenty of mix ins. Lunch time service was fast. Always a favorite."

"We had an amazing meal here last night. So glad we were able to get a reservation. Upon walking in, I was a little concerned the decor and atmosphere feel more like a country inn than fine cuisine. All concerns were quickly alleviated as our orders started coming out. The drinks were a Negroni and their elderflower cocktail delicious. Appetizers were a summer tomato salad with burrata and croutons and the pork belly, which somehow tasted like Thanksgiving in one plate. Our main dishes were lobster gnocchi and the braised short rib. The gnocchi were true, light, potato gnocchi from scratch and the lobster was generous and perfectly cooked. The short rib was astounding. Like grandma’s Sunday roast, but meltier. My husband kept stealing from my plate! For dessert, we had the mixed berry crostada and chocolate tart. Both were perfectly sized and delicious. What a meal! The cherry on top of the night was the quietly attentive service. Our waitress was a true professional and timed her check ins perfectly. We were delighted and way too full as we left."

The restaurant is atrocious First off- the waitress was 'off '...not sure what she was doing but hardly serving the tables properly Crammed into one small space with no tables-when the place was huge! Small menu- Out of many things Food tasted rancid The meats were grey and the fish was awful Portuguese oysters were terrible Such a shame that a once amazing place has been steadily downhill for ten plus years Let the daughter take over and update it!"
