"After living in Italy for a year and San Francisco for a decade, I can pretty confidently say this AIN 'T it . While we were feeling the vibe and hoping for a relatively authentic experience, we got watered down, bland food with absolutely no soul. The food was what I 'd imagine someone who knows nothing of Italian food painting by the numbers. The service was dismissive and rushed, the house wine was a California blend (how does that make any sense in an Italian restaurant? . We upgraded to the Chianti for $13/glass which tasted like something you might drink out of a workboot after a hot day. The lasagna was the only thing that was serviceable. They’ve really tried to cook the food like an authentic Italian restaurant but it’s not quite there. We’ve ordered two pizzas.

Tommaso's Ristorante Italiano in San Francisco is a true gem! From the moment you step inside, you're transported to the heart of Italy. The authentic flavors of their dishes are simply exquisite, and the homemade pasta is a must-try. The warm and welcoming atmosphere coupled with impeccable service makes every visit a memorable experience. Buon appetito!

Amazingly good wood fired brick oven pizza. I have never tried any other dishes because the pizza is just that good. Can't help but get it every time. I live in Pleasant Hill and will drive to sf for no purpose other than to get their pizza. In the top 3 of best pizzas I ever had and am an 80's kid so have had my fair share of pizza. If you haven't tried it I suggest you do. Read an article saying they are looking to retire so trying to find the right owner to pass the torch. Wish I could afford to buy and fill those shoes for them.
