"The hostess was super nice. She set us down really quickly, our server came over and greeted us and had our drinks out to us really quickly. We ordered mushrooms for an appetizer which were really good. I ordered a steak medium rare and it was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. I highly recommend saltgrass as a place to go out for a great intimate dinner with someone special. I would like to further say that our server was really well trained. Super nice and very understanding to all of our special ordering needs. I would give it an a+ rating. Go see them and I hope that you enjoy it as much as we did"

The seasoning was good. But they don’t know how to cook a T bone. Ordered medium rare and it was raw by the bone.

Steak houses are always good in my book. However, this was an exception. Friendly staff completes the experience and makes it better. It was hard to find a server that is really interested and ours went beyond and beyond in any way, while smiling and friendly.

They're busy, but I appreciate the employees who show up for work every day. I was here a few times last year. Our server Sienna was so friendly and pleasant. She proposed another appetizer when I usually get and I loved the reach rattler hitting them. Very attentive to my and my nieces. Our steak wasn't the best on this day, but I'm not even perfect when I cook. Restaurant was clean and appreciate everything our server did to make our experience the best it could be. We'll be back and ask for the best server we've ever had in a facility. Thanks again Sienna for your hospitality and good luck at LSU.

"I have finally eaten at all of the fancy steak places I know of. Ruth’s, Sullivans, Buddys (Hammond , Flemings. Ruth’s was slightly more expensive than Flemings, but not by much. I ordered the ribeye at all of them for scientific research purposes. Food wise, Ruth’s has the best steaks, Flemings the best sides, and Buddy’s the best overall (it is by far the cheapest . The table bread was awesome. Steaks were cooked 100% perfectly, which is hard to get because medium means something different everywhere you go. I ordered the ribeye and my girl ordered the New York strip. The ribeye was better than the other three places ribeyes. My girl didn’t care for the New York strip, she said it was very salty. I didn’t notice, but the ribeye was definitely better. The salads were great. I ordered the chopped and my girl the Caesar. Both were great, and the chopped presentation was very unique. The sides were pretty disappointing. We ordered mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and broiled tomato. The tomato must have had sugar on it, it tasted like ketchup. The creamed spinach was bland, and the mashed potatoes tasted homemade (which is good for $3 side, but for a fancy steak place at $10 it needs to be otherworldly . Gave my girl a cheesecake since we were celebrating her birthday. Probably the best cheesecake we have had. Overall a fantastic experience. Our waitress Diamond was excellent and friendly. The water glasses did not get less than half full (or empty? . Bathrooms were immaculate."
