"For the price of the meal the food was subpar at best. Steak was overcooked and the fries my wife got were clearly not fresh and obviously frozen out of a bag and fried like you would expect from a place that charges half the price that Sam's does. The building was in disrepair as well with holes in the ceiling and the carpet peeling up in the middle of the floor as well as very dated decor for a place that charges such a premium. We received a complimentary dessert as it was our anniversary and we're told we could get a chocolate lava cake which came out frozen and basically inedible. Extremely disappointed by our visit and we will not be coming back. Edit:The overcooked steak was brought...

Waiter kept interupting put conversation. I was on a first date and we where clearly enjoying our selfs but the wait staff would stop our conversation every couple minutes to ask if we needed something. I felt like they were rushing us out so they could seat someone else. I spent almost $200 and left a good tip but I will not be going back. Prime rib was the worst I have ever had. It was so tough I had to chew it like a piece of jerky. Our server said that is normal for that. Table next to us had it too, and just sent it back, and didn't even want anything else. Also we waited at the host desk for over 5 minutes before anyone even noticed when we arrived. We will not go back here. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Myself and my husband had an opportunity to celebrate with a date night to Sam’s. Hands down the best experience we’ve had in STL at a steakhouse. I can’t say enough how much fun we had with the entire staff and ourselves. The food was exceptional. We both had the surf and turf. Pacing was on point. Both steaks were cooked to the correct temp. Our server was also our bartender, William. He made the experience one for the books. Thanks to his hospitality and personality we are hooked. Can’t wait for our next night at Sam’s! "Never had a bad experience here. Friendly people, good food. I don't live in St. Albans, so I don't eat much there, but I probably have eaten a dozen times in the last few years, even yesterday. I was in the area for my daughter to attend a birthday party, and wanted to find a escape to watch the pirate game. River 's Edge is the most beautiful place to watch a sport. Within seconds of the question that she had a remote control and came over and found my game on the TV closest to me. They had only sports center and an NCAA women tourney game. And NASCAR on some TVs. Many TVs to please everyone. I have my favorite, the crab filled mushrooms. Home made with their own recipe and broiled, they are amazing. Also the cable-fishing sandwich tried for the first time and it was also delicious. You also have great wings and burgers. It could take a minute or two for them to locate you because it sits itself, but I don't understand why people talk about wait 10 minutes and go out. The place isn't that big? Why can't you excuse me, we haven't waited yet? This will be less time that it takes you to get a place in a review bash! I'm sure they apologize and make your visit amazing from this point. People who expect perfection all the time should look into a mirror. You're not perfect either. This is a great, locally owned place that wants to enjoy delicious food. They are also human. Cheers!"
